Brooklyn-based comedian Colin Quinn is back with his latest Off-Broadway comedy special, Colin Quinn: Small Talk, running for a limited engagement in winter 2023. Get Colin Quinn: Small Talk tickets now. Quinn is most widely known for political humor, but his Small Talk comedy show has a different focus: the art of charisma. Drawing on a lifetime of chatting with friends, family, counter service workers, and strangers, Quinn shares tips on how to be personable and fun to talk to. Quinn has said of Small Talk, “I'm doing this show because I’m fascinated with how personality in general (and individuals in particular) have fed into society. (Fascinated might be a strong word)." Quinn's most recent Off-Broadway show, 2021's The Last Best Hope, combined a similar premise (Quinn's charisma) with his trademark political comedy, focusing on why his is a voice worth listening to in today's social-media saturated age where everyone has a platform. Quinn has indeed built a sizable social media platform, with more than 500,000 followers on Twitter alone, but he's a stalwart of the in-person NYC comedy scene too. Small Talk in New York follows other Off-Broadway shows like Colin Quinn: Unconstitutional, Colin Quinn: The New York Story (directed by Jerry Seinfeld), and Red State Blue State, all of which have become Netflix specials. Quinn has also performed two specials on Broadway: Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake and Colin Quinn: Long Story Short. Directing Small Talk off Broadway is James Fauvell, who also helmed the Off-Broadway premiere of Red State Blue State. Get Colin Quinn: Small Talk tickets on New York Theatre Guide.
